Democracy and the GMC Tahoe
Some genius at General Motors aparently thought it woiuld be a good idea to give people the chance to make their own GMC Tahoe ads. So the Chevy website gave them a toolkit and a place to put the ads. When the smoke cleared, a good portion of the ads weren't exactly praising the big SUV, featuring slogans reflecting on the Tahoe's harm to the environment and suggesting that the Tahoe is aimed at gentlemen who are making up for another shortcoming.
My questions include: What makes them think that nobody would think of these things? Also
Do they care? Afterall, everybody who buys a Tahoe knows they are resource hogs. They don't care. That's why a lot of the derogatory ads have been left up. The ads are multipying at youtube.com. Link is below.
