Ford Posts $1.2 Billion First Quarter Loss
Sales Down 9% from Last Year
According to the Detroit News article linked below, Ford's first quarter included a $1.7 billion charge against earning for restructuring pursuant to "the Way Forward" plan, including cutting 30,000 jobs and closing 14 factories. Absent the one time charges, Ford says it would have made $458 million.
