My alma mater, Purdue University, usually fields a good basketball team, but rarely a great one. In a good year, they get to the NCAA Tournament and lose the first round. This year though, going into last week, they were #3 in the country. That is, they were until their star player, Robbie Hummel, went down with a season-ending ACL knee injury.
