According to Autoblog Green, the 08 Ford Escape Hybrid will have an interior that replaces most petroleum-based plastics with renewable materials including soy and hemp. Hemp-reinforced plastics weigh up to 30% less than fiberglass. It seems like a great environmental advance, just don't cross the border in your new Escape unless you want to strip your car down to the floorboards.
