Chrysler and GM have two weeks to provide a government a written plan demonstrating their viability. Right now, Chrysler looks about as viable as a Bernie Madoff investment fund. Robert Farago, the big cheese at thetruthaboutcars.com , makes a pretty persuasive argument that the market has shrunk so much that Chrysler needs to be removed from the marketplace to give Ford (and, by implication, General Motors) a chance at survival.
